Blue Ridge Wine & Food Festival combines great food, amazing wines and fantastic classes. 

Grand Wine Tasting with Cooking Demos

The Grand Tasting is the centerpiece of the Blue Ridge Wine & Food Festival. Located in the heart of Downtown Blowing Rock under the main tent, the tasting showcases a wide assortment of wines from North Carolina wineries as well as from vineyards    around the globe. Find new favorites among international, domestic and NC vintages! Light fare will be available featuring Alaska Seafood and much more.  The Grand Tasting will take place from 2:00 - 6:00pm to allow time for lunch at your favorite Blowing Rock eatery.

COOKING DEMONSTRATIONS - Cooking demonstrations are included in your ticket to the Grand Tasting.  The demos will take place at the American Legion Hall just down the street from the Grand Tasting Tent.  Demos will take place at 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, and 5pm and will include a bit of preferred beverage and a sample of the cooked items.  A lovely addition to your day!  Look for more information at the Grand Tasting.

Parking will be available at Tanger Shoppes on the Parkway, two downtown parking decks, and around town. The Wine Festival shuttle will make stops at the Grand Wine Tasting, in Downtown Blowing Rock, and Tanger Shoppes on the Parkway, so you can always get back to your vehicle with ease.

EXPERIENCE the best culinary show you've ever tasted!

CompetitionDining.com presents Fire on the Rock Chef Challenge - a battle of  the area's best-known chefs.  Diners will judge the competition during a six course meal featuring a secret ingredient not known to the chef until the battle begins and not known to the diner until the meal begins!  All competitions will be held at the Meadowbrook Inn at 6:30pm for $59 per person plus tip. Information on the chef battles is available at CompetitionDining.com.

Uncork! the Festival will be a culinary delight of Alaska Seafood and other fresh meats, fruits and veggies served under the Grand Tasting Tent with some very special reserve wines not offered at the Grand Tasting.  This event is sure to please!  Enjoy culinary fare prepared by The Table at Crestwood, Casa RusticaChar, and Makoto's Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar. 

Pay attention to the weather predictions as it is April in Blowing Rock - we may have shorts weather or snow - an outside event so dress appropriately!

Area restaurants team up with esteemed wineries to create Vintners' Dinners as part of the Blue Ridge Wine and Food Festival. Prix Fixe menus will showcase the best pairings the chef and vintner have to offer. Click on offerings listed in blue to see the menu and price.  Some take a little longer to load so please be patient.
